Get ready for the most thrilling race of the year at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City! NASCAR is set to make history with its first international Cup Series race in 25 years at this iconic track, and here’s everything you need to know before the engines roar and the tires screech.

Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, standing tall at 2,240 meters above sea level, is a legendary racetrack known for hosting top-tier motorsports events like Formula 1, IndyCar, and NASCAR Xfinity Series races. Now, it’s gearing up to welcome NASCAR’s finest drivers for a nail-biting competition on its challenging road course layout.

The Viva Mexico 250 on June 15 will mark the debut of the NASCAR Cup Series at this historic track, with a revamped 2.49-mile road course variant that promises excitement and unpredictability. With 15 turns, including the thrilling downhill through Foro Sol and a tight chicane sequence, drivers will face a new challenge unlike any other.

Expect the race to be a test of skill and strategy as drivers like Ryan Blaney and Daniel Suarez adapt to the track’s unique features. Suarez, a Mexico-native, emphasized the unfamiliarity of the new configuration, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the event.

The Viva Mexico 250 will cover 100 laps, making it longer and more demanding than ever before. With a substantial prize purse of over $12 million up for grabs, the stakes are higher than ever, and drivers will push themselves to the limit for a shot at victory.

The action-packed weekend at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez will kick off with the NASCAR Mexico Series race, leading up to intense Cup and Xfinity Series practices, qualifying sessions, and races. Fans can expect a spectacle like no other as NASCAR history unfolds on Mexican soil.

Don’t miss out on the adrenaline-pumping excitement as NASCAR takes on the iconic Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez track for a race that promises thrills, spills, and unforgettable moments. Get ready to witness history in the making at the Viva Mexico 250!
