Daniel Suarez’s Contract Chaos Revealed, Threatening Trackhouse Racing’s Mexico Dreams

NASCAR Cup Series driver Daniel Suarez (99) battles Kyle Busch (8) during the Cracker Barrel 400 at Nashville Superspeedway in Lebanon, Tenn., Sunday, June 1, 2025.

NASCAR Star Daniel Suarez Faces Contract Uncertainty Ahead of Historic Race in Mexico

In the midst of gearing up for the Viva Mexico 250, the first NASCAR Cup Series race outside of the USA in decades, Mexican driver Daniel Suarez finds himself in a whirlwind of contract negotiations that are proving to be a major distraction. With only 14 races left in the season, the Trackhouse Racing driver is feeling the pressure of being unsigned beyond 2025, a situation he has never experienced since his first Cup Series victory in 2022.

Despite the looming contract uncertainty, Suarez remains determined to focus on his performance on the track. The 33-year-old driver, currently sitting in 28th place in the standings with one top-five and three top-10 finishes, is eager to secure his first win of the season. In a recent interview, Suarez candidly admitted, “It’s definitely a distraction. I won’t sit here and tell you that it doesn’t really matter.”

As Suarez prepares for the upcoming Firekeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway, fans are eagerly anticipating his performance in the historic Viva Mexico 250. Scheduled to take place on a date yet to be announced, the race will mark a significant moment in NASCAR history, with Suarez poised to make his mark on the international stage.

In other exciting news, Daniel Suarez has secured a new sponsor for the NASCAR Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway. Teaming up with Very Good Ventures, Suarez and the No. 99 team are set to enhance their digital presence and technology capabilities. The strategic partnership aims to revolutionize the team’s interaction with fans and improve overall performance with cutting-edge digital tools, including artificial intelligence.

With the support of Very Good Ventures, Suarez is optimistic about the future of NASCAR and the role of technology in driving success on and off the track. The partnership will not only elevate the team’s pit box experience for guests but also position Very Good Ventures as the primary sponsor for Suarez in the upcoming race at “The Tricky Triangle,” solidifying their commitment to innovation and excellence in the sport.
