Daniel Ricciardo Faces Backlash and Restricts Fans’ Comments on Social Media

Former Formula 1 sensation Daniel Ricciardo is under fire as he silences disgruntled fans on social media following a controversial announcement. The Australian racing star, who was unexpectedly axed from the Racing Bulls team in the middle of the 2024 season, is facing scrutiny over his recent business ventures.

Ricciardo, known for keeping his fans engaged with glimpses of his life beyond the racetrack, received a wave of criticism when he revealed his partnership with Australian betting company Dabble on Instagram. The negative feedback prompted Instagram to limit comments on the post, a drastic move triggered by the overwhelming backlash from fans questioning Ricciardo’s career choices.

Despite the uproar surrounding his latest move, a post by Mercedes driver George Russell sparked excitement among fans by showing Ricciardo socializing with former F1 colleagues. The image of Ricciardo alongside Red Bull athlete Scotty James, McLaren star Oscar Piastri, and Russell at a padel court in Monaco reignited speculation about his potential return to the racing scene.

However, doubts loom over Ricciardo’s racing future, especially after his promotional video with Dabble hinted at retirement plans. The 35-year-old driver has already dismissed rumors of joining the new Cadillac F1 team, hinting at a possible exit from the sport altogether.

As fans eagerly await Daniel Ricciardo’s next career move, the once-revered F1 star finds himself at a crossroads, balancing fan expectations with his evolving interests outside of the racing world.
