Daniel Ricciardo’s Aston Martin Valkyrie: £2.4 Million Hypercar Auction Shakes the F1 World!

Daniel Ricciardo’s Aston Martin Valkyrie: The Hypercar Set to Fetch Up to £2.4 Million at Auction!

In an electrifying move that’s sending shockwaves through the automotive and motorsport communities, former Formula 1 superstar Daniel Ricciardo is parting ways with his prized possession: the jaw-dropping 2023 Aston Martin Valkyrie. This hypercar, a masterpiece of engineering and speed, is hitting the auction block at the prestigious Zoute Concours Auction on October 10, 2025, in the picturesque town of Knokke-Heist, Belgium. With an eye-popping estimated sale price between £2 million and £2.4 million, collectors and racing enthusiasts alike are holding their breath!

The Aston Martin Valkyrie is not just any hypercar; it’s a tour de force born from the cutting-edge realm of Formula 1 technology. Crafted in collaboration between the iconic British brand and the legendary Red Bull Racing team—with contributions from the renowned designer Adrian Newey—this beast has already made headlines by shattering the Silverstone production car lap record with a blistering time of 1:56.42. This is a car that doesn’t just promise speed; it delivers it in spades!

Equipped with an astonishing 1,140 horsepower generated from a potent 6.5-litre V12 engine paired with a KERS hybrid system developed by Cosworth, the Valkyrie boasts a staggering downforce of 1,100 kg. With only 150 units ever produced, this hypercar is as rare as it is incredible, making Ricciardo’s offering even more desirable for potential buyers.

What makes this particular model, chassis number 089, even more special is Ricciardo’s personal touch. While racing under the Red Bull banner, he customized the car with nearly £150,000 worth of factory options, including a standout £30,000 Badger Blue paint job that pays homage to his beloved “Honey Badger” nickname. This vehicle features exquisite clam vanes and upper suspension shrouds crafted from exposed 2×2 twill satin carbon fibre, as well as ultra-lightweight magnesium wheels worth £40,000 in a sleek matte black finish.

Step inside, and you’ll find a racing wheel with silver-anodised toggle switches and bucket seats swathed in Pure Black Alcantara, complete with contrasting silver stitching. With a mere 160 kilometres on the odometer, this hypercar is practically brand new, ready to dominate both the road and any auction it graces.

“It feels like a race car and it looks like a race car,” Ricciardo exclaimed when discussing the Valkyrie. “I’m not used to having a roof over my head, but that’s the only thing that really feels different; otherwise, it’s a pretty straight-up race car. Will we ever see another car like this again? I can’t predict the future. But when you ask if it is the pinnacle of road-legal technology, then yes, I think it is.”

Adding to the excitement, Joe Twyman, vice president of sales for Broad Arrow’s EMEA region, expressed his enthusiasm: “We are thrilled to be presenting an incredibly rare Aston Martin Valkyrie at our first Zoute Concours Auction. The Valkyrie is the ultimate example of converting race car technology into a road car, and the fact that this one was personally specified and owned by Formula One driver, Daniel Ricciardo, makes it truly unique and extremely desirable.”

As the auction date approaches, all eyes will be on the Aston Martin Valkyrie and its illustrious former owner. Will this hypercar break records on the auction block as it did on the racetrack? One thing is certain: this is an automotive gem that demands attention!
