spent the 2023 season on the bench after facing two disappointing years with McLaren. However, Red Bull called upon the Australian driver to step in at AlphaTauri (now RB). Unfortunately, the 34-year-old driver has not been able to meet expectations so far this season. Ricciardo reflected on his struggles in Woking, while the Faenza team introduces a new chassis for the Honey Badger.

Ricciardo claimed victory at the 2021 Italian Grand Prix for McLaren after a challenging start to his time with the British team. The Australian driver recalled that the Woking team provided him with a new car for the subsequent race in Russia. However, things did not go well in Sochi. Consequently, the 34-year-old driver asked his team to go back to his previous vehicle.

The Honey Badger stated that, with the return of his old car, his performance improved once again. Therefore, Daniel Ricciardo admitted to being skeptical about different chassis, as some did not yield favorable results over the years. Ricciardo wanted to address this skepticism by trying out a new RB chassis.

Ricciardo has consistently been outperformed by in 2024. recently claimed that the Australian driver approached the start of the Japanese Grand Prix with caution, leading to his crash on lap 1. Consequently, the 34-year-old driver has struggled to extract the maximum potential from his car. Therefore, a new VCARB-01 chassis could work wonders for Daniel Ricciardo.

The Australian driver expressed his curiosity in trying out a different car chassis in the upcoming race in China. Daniel Ricciardo believes that this will provide him with peace of mind. This way, the 34-year-old driver will not question the car as the cause of his recent drop in performance.

“I’m curious because this will at least give me peace of mind and I can say, ‘ok’, I have cleared this doubt,” said Daniel Ricciardo.

Undoubtedly, Daniel Ricciardo would be hopeful to make a comeback with the new chassis in Shanghai. The Australian driver needs to establish himself as the main driver at RB if he wants to continue racing for Red Bull next season. Therefore, fans would expect to see Ricciardo quickly adapt to his new car in the upcoming race.
