Daniel Ricciardo considers his current time in F1 an unexpected gift as he dreams of going back to Red Bull.

Daniel Ricciardo’s future in the highest level of motor racing remains uncertain for the 2025 season. The Australian driver, who has achieved eight victories in Grand Prix races, recently expressed his thoughts on his challenging journey in Formula 1. Despite the difficulties he has faced in recent years, Ricciardo is grateful for the opportunity to continue competing in the sport.

At present, Ricciardo has not secured a contract for the 2025 season, but there have been persistent rumors linking him to a potential move to Red Bull. There is a possibility that the team based in Milton Keynes might decide to part ways with the 35-year-old driver at the conclusion of the ongoing season.

Ricciardo finds himself in the latter stages of his career in the pinnacle of motor racing. His time with McLaren has had a significantly negative impact on him, and he has been striving to regain his top form ever since. Throughout the ongoing season, Ricciardo has consistently been outperformed by his Red Bull teammate.

Although Ricciardo has openly discussed his F1 career, he is not yet ready to retire. He firmly believes that he still possesses the necessary skills and determination to succeed in the sport. Consequently, he is fully committed to giving his all in order to secure a place on the grid for the 2025 season.

It is worth noting that Ricciardo’s only option for next year lies within the Red Bull team. With 10 races remaining in the 2024 F1 season, it is crucial for Ricciardo to start producing consistent results starting from the Zandvoort race. The current summer break will provide the 35-year-old driver with an opportunity to recharge and approach the second half of the season with renewed vigor.
