Daniel Ricciardo em risco com Helmut Marko sugerindo que a RB terá que substituí-lo por Liam Lawson em breve.

The performance of Daniel Ricciardo against Yuki Tsunoda in 2024 has been less impressive. Red Bull Team Consultant, Helmut Marko, has expressed concerns about Ricciardo’s place in RB for the 2025 season. Ricciardo joined RB (AlphaTauri) in the middle of the 2023 season, but failed to deliver for the Red Bull sister team, especially in 2024.

During the practice sessions of the 2023 Dutch Grand Prix, Daniel Ricciardo suffered an unfortunate wrist injury and had to be replaced by a reserve driver. However, the 22-year-old reserve driver, Liam Lawson, caught everyone’s attention with his promising performances in just five races.

Given Ricciardo’s disappointing performance, Helmut Marko and many others have supported Liam Lawson as the next choice for RB. Ricciardo scored only nine points in ten races this season, while his teammate scored 19.

Helmut Marko emphasized that RB is a junior team of Red Bull and should focus on nurturing young talents. He stated that Ricciardo has not been exceptional, making Liam Lawson the most likely candidate for the RB seat.

RB CEO, Peter Bayer, addressed the team’s poor performance in Barcelona after a series of promising races. RB finished in 15th and 19th places after a disappointing afternoon for Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo.

Despite introducing new updates for the Spanish Grand Prix, RB engineers found that the car did not respond well to the changes, even after extensive testing in different conditions.

Peter Bayer acknowledged that RB has struggled to identify the root causes of their problems, which have haunted them in Barcelona. He emphasized that the entire team is now fully focused on implementing the updates more effectively and considering a return to previous specifications if necessary.
