Dan Harper, a force to be reckoned with in the IMSA scene, secured his first-ever victory in the GTD Pro class at Watkins Glen, sending shockwaves through the motorsport world. Racing for Paul Miller Racing, Harper, alongside teammate Max Hesse, dominated the Six Hours of the Glen in their #48 BMW M4 GT3 Evo, outperforming top competitors like the #9 Pfaff Motorsports Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2.

Despite facing adversity early on with a 60-second stop-and-go penalty for a pit lane infraction, Harper’s determination and skill shone through as he swiftly made up for lost time, aided by strategic pit stops and flawless fuel management by the team. Harper’s tenacity and focus, even in the face of unexpected challenges like a sudden downpour, solidified his position as a rising star in the GT racing world.

In a post-race interview, Harper expressed his elation at the hard-earned victory, emphasizing the team’s collective effort in achieving this milestone. He credited Hesse for his stellar performance in the middle of the race, propelling them back to the front of the pack. The victory marked a turning point for Harper and the team, showcasing their consistent pace and unwavering determination throughout the season.
