Damon Hill sugere que Carlos Sainz não tem lugar na Red Bull controlada pela ‘família Verstappen’.

Carlos Sainz finds himself without a seat for the 2025 season, despite being highly sought after in the driver market. The news of not receiving a contract extension came as a shock to him, especially considering his level of performance. However, there are indications that he may secure a new opportunity for next year. Unfortunately, the current leadership of the Austrian team makes this move unlikely.

When Carlos Sainz learned he would be replaced by another driver at Ferrari, it was a major setback for him. Since then, he has been striving to excel in his performances and has achieved a perfect record of podium finishes this year. He even emerged victorious at the Australian GP. These impressive results have put him on Red Bull’s radar for the 2025 season. However, former champion Damon Hill disagrees.

Damon Hill expressed his belief that it would be a tragedy if Carlos Sainz does not secure a prominent seat next year. He firmly believes that Sainz deserves to be part of a leading team. Hill pointed to Sainz’s recent performance as evidence of his capabilities. However, Hill does not see Red Bull as a viable option due to the team’s focus on Max Verstappen and the influence of the Verstappen family.

Hill’s opinion is that if Sainz does not land a spot in one of the top teams, it would be a shame for the sport. He believes that Red Bull is not the right choice for Sainz, as the team revolves around Verstappen. Taking these factors into consideration, Hill sees another team as the best option for Sainz in 2025.

During the 2024 season, Carlos Sainz was overshadowed by his former teammate. This raised speculations and eyebrows in the paddock, questioning if Ferrari made the right decision in letting Sainz go. After qualifying in Japan, Hill shared his thoughts on the uncomfortable situation at Ferrari.

Hill, who is 63 years old, explained that it is not ideal for the Monegasque driver to be constantly defeated by his former teammate. This puts pressure on Charles Leclerc to improve and maintain his position as the main driver for Scuderia. However, there is still a significant part of the 2024 season left, giving Leclerc ample opportunities to prove himself before Sainz departs for a new adventure. Ferrari fans will undoubtedly be keeping an eye on the upcoming races.
