In a shocking turn of events, former Formula 1 World Champion Damon Hill is set to make a grand return to Sky F1 screens next month. The 1996 World Champion had left his role as a pundit at the end of last year, but now he is back with a bang!
Sky F1 presenter Simon Lazenby has spilled the beans on his involvement in the production of a new documentary centered around the illustrious career of Damon Hill. Titled simply as “Hill,” the documentary promises to be an emotional rollercoaster, giving viewers an intimate look into the life of the racing legend.
Hill, who joined Sky F1 in 2012, parted ways with the broadcaster at the end of the 2024 season. His return has been highly anticipated, especially after his public spat with Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, which led to his departure from Sky F1.
The documentary, set to be released on July 2nd on Sky Documentaries, is a project close to Lazenby’s heart. The Sky F1 presenter took to social media to express his excitement, stating, “It’s only taken seven years, but delighted that our film about Damon Hill is to be released on Sky Documentaries on July 2nd.”
Hill himself is thrilled about the documentary, describing it as a personal journey through his Formula 1 career. He shared, “This film is a highly personal telling of my life and Formula 1 career. It reveals my real motivation to succeed and how the death of my father, Graham Hill, affected me.”
The racing world is abuzz with excitement as the countdown begins for the release of “Hill.” Formula 1 enthusiasts and casual viewers alike are in for a treat as they delve into the remarkable story of Damon Hill, a true gem in the world of motorsport.
