Dale Jr. is scheduled to compete in the Xfinity race at Bristol, driving the No:88 Chevy. Despite retiring from full-time racing in 2016, Dale Earnhardt Jr. remains one of the most prominent figures in NASCAR. He continues to make occasional starts in the Xfinity Series with JR Motorsports, a team he co-owns with Kelly Earnhardt. As usual, Junior will make another appearance this season.
This year at Bristol Motor Speedway, Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be behind the wheel of the No:88 Chevy. Bristol is one of his favorite tracks and he had a remarkable race there last year. He hopes to replicate that performance this season, now that he has more freedom after stepping away from his broadcasting role with NBC.
During a recent interview with Fox Sports about his upcoming race at Bristol with JRM, Junior mentioned that the 2024 Bristol race could be his last NASCAR event. He acknowledged that racing at his age is a significant commitment and admitted that he has not yet made a decision about retiring from NASCAR.
Junior concluded his broadcasting duties with NBC at the end of last season and will join the Amazon-TNT team starting in the 2025 season. However, since he has no commitments in 2024, he misses being in the booth and calling the races.
In the same interview, the Hall of Fame member also discussed how he is preparing for his new broadcasting role with NASCAR’s streaming partners for the 2025 season. It will be intriguing to see how the former Xfinity Series champion adapts to his new job.
