Dale Earnhardt Jr. has already given a warning to Chase Briscoe about his possible move to JGR. Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s retirement at the end of the 2024 season has created an opportunity for a championship-contending seat at Joe Gibbs Racing. The most sought-after free agent in NASCAR is reportedly the favorite to join the team, as JGR is not considering rookie drivers for the seat.
NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. recently discussed the possible move and talked about its advantages and disadvantages. He emphasized that there is significant risk for the young Ford driver as he will face immense pressure to perform. However, Junior also believes that the deal can be closed quickly if everything goes well.
The possible move of Chase Briscoe to JGR was highlighted in a recent episode. Dale Earnhardt Jr. pointed out that unlike other drivers from Stewart-Haas Racing who will also be unemployed in 2025, Briscoe has strong financial backing, including support from Mahindra. This financial support could expedite the contractual negotiations between Briscoe and JGR.
After acknowledging Briscoe’s dedication to his sponsors and his achievements over the years, Dale Earnhardt Jr. also highlighted the similar potential of another driver. He mentioned that the driver of the No.10 Ford also has good chances of securing a new contract in 2025 due to significant financial support.
“Noah Gragson will probably be in the Cup again next year because he has formed partnerships that support him and want to follow him wherever he goes. So, I believe Noah will end up in a favorable position,” said Dale Earnhardt Jr.
It is expected that Noah Gragson and Chase Briscoe will secure seats for the 2025 season due to their talent and financial support. It will be interesting to see where the Stewart-Haas Racing duo will end up next season.
