Dale Earnhardt Jr. has built a racing empire, a media powerhouse, and a devoted fanbase—but his greatest achievement might just be his marriage.

For years, Dale Jr. and his wife, Amy Reimann, have been one of NASCAR’s favorite couples, sharing their journey from high-speed race weekends to parenting their two daughters, Isla Rose and Nicole Lorraine.

But like any marriage, there have been challenges. From Dale Jr.’s health struggles in 2016 to Amy’s dislike of road trips, the couple has faced their fair share of differences.

So, how do they navigate the ups and downs?

Apparently, through a microphone.

The Podcast That Became Therapy

Dale Jr. has been a media force since launching The Dale Jr. Download in 2017, where he gives fans inside access to NASCAR’s past and present.

Now, in 2025, Dale Jr. and Amy have launched a new show together—“Bless Your Hardt”, a Dirty Mo Media podcast that focuses on life, marriage, and the chaos of the Earnhardt household.

And it turns out, the show isn’t just entertaining—it’s helping their relationship too.

Dale Jr. Admits His Flaws—And Amy Calls Him Out

In the very first episode, Amy pointed out something fans have likely noticed for years—Dale Jr. loves to argue.

“I feel like you really like to argue… You like to clown, debate, and poke at everyone around you,” Amy said.

Dale Jr. didn’t deny it.

“I like to be a smarta– and I like to joke,” he admitted.

But that’s where the unexpected benefit of the podcast comes in.

How a Weekly Podcast Keeps Their Marriage Strong

Dale Jr. explained how committing to the podcast forces them to work through their disagreements, no matter what’s going on.

“I think the podcast might actually hold us accountable,” he said.
“Hey look, I know we’re not getting along today or we disagreed about something yesterday. But we can’t not do the show.”

Amy agreed, adding:

“Maybe it will make us both grow up a little bit.”

And when things do get tense?

“Maybe we’ll just hash it out right here,” Amy suggested.

At that moment, Dale Jr. and Amy almost rhymed in unison as they realized:

“So maybe the podcast… (Amy: is therapeutic) is good.”

A Relationship Built on Respect

While their podcast keeps them communicating, the real reason Dale Jr. and Amy make things work is mutual respect.

Dale Jr. has always credited Amy for helping him through difficult times, including his battle with concussions that ultimately led to his retirement from full-time racing.

From high-speed action on the track to real-life moments behind the scenes, Dale Jr. has found another way to connect—not just with fans, but with his wife.

And in true Earnhardt fashion, he’s turned it into a podcast.
