Dale Earnhardt Jr. expresses concerns about the lack of exciting races at Wilkesboro due to issues with the Next-Gen cars. The introduction of these new cars in 2022 has resulted in a decrease in thrilling side-by-side racing on short tracks. The recent races at Richmond and Martinsville have been disappointing, with few exciting moments or accidents. Earnhardt Jr. is worried that the upcoming race at North Wilkesboro Speedway will suffer from the same problems. On his podcast, he discussed his fear about the race in Wilkesboro and the challenges presented by the current generation of NASCAR cars.

Earnhardt Jr. pointed to the lackluster races at Richmond and Martinsville as evidence of the issues faced by current cars on short tracks. He emphasized the need for NASCAR to find a solution to these issues in order to preserve the future of historic tracks like Wilkesboro. The recent races at Richmond and Martinsville have been a wake-up call for NASCAR fans. Dale Earnhardt Jr., a former NASCAR driver, spoke out about the problems with the Next-Generation cars and urged NASCAR to address them.

In response to Earnhardt Jr.’s comments on his podcast, Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin sarcastically suggested that the Hall of Fame should test tires at Martinsville and Richmond to help solve the problems. Earnhardt Jr. then responded to Hamlin. It is clear that Earnhardt Jr. is passionate about solving the package issues on short tracks to ensure exciting races. Only time will tell if he will have the opportunity to test tires and contribute to finding solutions for the struggling Next-Gen cars.
