Entering the 2024 NASCAR Cup season, the Trackhouse Racing driver was under scrutiny. After a disappointing season in 2023, where he failed to win any races, there were rumors that Suarez would be replaced if he didn’t perform well.

Daniel Suarez has now put an end to all these rumors by impressively winning the Atlanta Cup race. In an exciting finish with three cars, he crossed the finish line 0.003 seconds ahead of his competitors to claim his second victory in the NASCAR Cup series. This win showcased his ability to navigate the last two turns of the race without any assistance.

Countless NASCAR drivers and figures praised Suarez for his historic victory, including a NASCAR Hall of Fame member. In a post on X, he congratulated Suarez and praised his mental strength. He also highlighted the thrilling finish of the race.

Congratulations @Daniel_SuarezG Well-deserved. The mental gymnastics and determination to go through the entire event and put together the final moves were impressive. #NASCAR

Upon seeing the praises from the legendary NASCAR driver on X, the Trackhouse Racing driver promptly responded. Suarez thanked Junior, whom he considers a friend, for his kind words. He wrote, “Thank you, my friend.”

Suarez has secured his spot in the 2024 playoffs and now aims to capitalize on this moment to achieve a few more victories before the end of the regular season. He has the opportunity to make this his best season in the Cup.

Thank you, my friend 🙏🏽

Furthermore, Suarez can use this achievement as leverage to negotiate another multi-year contract extension with Trackhouse. If he maintains his current form, the 2024 season could be a turning point in his career as a Mexican driver.
