Dacia Dominates Dakar Rally Stage with Al-Attiyah’s Stunning Victory!

In a breathtaking showdown at the Dakar Rally, Nasser Al-Attiyah has propelled Dacia into the spotlight, clinching their first daily triumph of the 2026 season and snatching the coveted lead in the overall standings. The sixth stage, set against the dramatic backdrop of Saudi Arabia’s relentless dunes, proved to be a fierce battleground where top teams fought tooth and nail for supremacy.

The stage kicked off with an electrifying pace as Joao Ferreira of Toyota initially surged ahead, capturing the attention of fans and competitors alike. However, the tide turned dramatically as Dacia’s Al-Attiyah showcased his legendary prowess, marking his territory by clocking the fastest time at the critical waypoint of kilometer 162. From that point on, he began to pull away from his rivals, including the likes of Seth Quintero, Sebastien Loeb, and Ferreira.

As the race unfolded, Al-Attiyah’s lead swelled to nearly two minutes, a testament to his unyielding determination and skill. In a thrilling finale, he crossed the finish line to secure a historic victory for Dacia, outpacing his teammate Loeb and etching his name in the annals of Dakar history. This marks a significant milestone for Dacia, who has been vying for recognition among the elite in off-road racing.

But the drama didn’t end there. Al-Attiyah’s victory also catapulted him to the top of the overall standings, displacing South Africa’s Henk Lategan, who suffered a setback, losing about nine minutes during this intense stage. The current leaderboard now sees Al-Attiyah in first place with a total time of 24:18:29, while the fierce competition remains thick with Mattias Ekström, Carlos Sainz, and Nani Roma rounding out the top five.

As the competitors gear up for a rest day on Saturday, the excitement and anticipation for the upcoming stages continue to build. Fans around the world are left on the edge of their seats, eagerly awaiting to see if Al-Attiyah can maintain his lead and further cement Dacia’s legacy in the Dakar Rally.

Stay tuned for a thrilling continuation of this high-octane race as the world’s best rally drivers battle it out in the unforgiving terrain of Saudi Arabia!
