Dacia apresenta a terceira geração do Duster com novo design e motores híbridos

Dacia will take advantage of its presence at the Geneva Motor Show, which runs from February 26 to March 3, to present three new additions to its range.

The latest generation of Dacia’s SUV, the Duster, will make its public debut in Geneva. Developed on the CMF-B platform, this third generation Duster has a more robust and assertive design and offers a range of engines that do not include Diesel versions. The highlight is the Hybrid 140 variant, which combines a 1.6-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with 96 hp, two electric motors (a 49 hp motor and a high-voltage generator/starter motor), and an electric automatic gearbox (with 4 gears for the combustion engine and 2 gears for the electric motor).

In addition to the hybrid version, a mild-hybrid variant, the TCe 130, is also available, which Dacia is using for the first time. It combines a 1.2-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder gasoline engine of the new generation, which uses the Miller cycle, and a mild-hybrid solution (48V mild-hybrid).

The Romanian brand of the Renault Group will also offer the new Duster with a dual-fuel configuration (gasoline and LPG), the ECO-G 100, which has two fuel tanks that together hold 100 liters (50 liters of gasoline and 50 liters of LPG), allowing for a range of up to 1300 km.

In addition to the Duster, Dacia will also present the renovated Spring, a 100% electric model that is more digital than ever, with a customizable digital instrument panel with a 7” screen, along with a 10” central multimedia screen. The new Spring has a 45 hp motor in the Essential and Expression versions, and a 65 hp motor in the Expression and Extreme versions.

The Geneva Motor Show will also be the stage for Dacia to unveil its bet for the 2025 Dakar. It is the Sandrider, a model developed in partnership with Prodrive, inspired by the Manifesto concept car, and that will be involved in the main category of the Dakar, Ultimate T1+.

The Romanian brand will compete not only in the Dakar, but also in the World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC), with this Sandrider, and for that, it counts on the drivers Cristina Gutiérrez, Nasser Al-Attiyah, and Sébastien Loeb.
