The Dakar 2024 with the Prodrive Hunter has not yet started, but Nasser Al-Attiyah already has his future confirmed. The driver will represent Team Dacia in 2025, joining a team that strongly invests in off-road racing: they had already secured Cristina Gutiérrez and Sébastien Loeb.
So far, Al-Attiyah has achieved five victories in the Dakar, the first of which was in 2011. He has represented various manufacturers and teams, always with success: BMW, MINI, Toyota, and Volkswagen. Now, he ventures into the Romanian manufacturer’s project.
It is worth mentioning that Dacia will enter the off-road racing scene in partnership with Prodrive. The prototype will use a synthetic test fuel, with trials starting in 2024. The Morocco Rally is expected to be the first competitive event.
