Tesla has fired almost the entire team from the supercharger network division, as part of the decision to cut the group of nearly 500 people. The layoffs add to the cut of over 10% of Tesla’s employees announced in April.
Tesla still plans to grow the Supercharger network, just at a slower pace for new locations and more focus on 100% uptime and expansion of existing locations

The now revealed measure is expected to impact the growth of the charging network, as revealed to “Bloomberg” by a source from the supercharger network division, and Elon Musk has already confirmed on social media that the network expansion will slow down.
It is worth noting that Tesla’s decision to reduce the number of employees comes after the company announced an 8.5% drop in sales in the first quarter of the year.
