Brantley Gilbert’s pickup truck truck started out in life as a 2023 Ford F-350 Super Duty Dually Crew Cab with the Lariat trim, which was full of chrome accents. Long gone is the chrome, as every silver detail turned black. Trevor Wright of Roush Performance came up with the idea of the makeover, and the team said yes.
They started with a BDS lift kit and it wasn’t just that raising the ground clearance. They put 24-inch American Force Independence wheels in gloss black, sporting 38-inch Nitto Mud Terrain tires.
To highlight the fact that this is one special truck, they also added red lights in the bumpers. They also came up with contrasting red accents on the black-painted truck, but also inside the cabin.
A custom sound system found room on board. The video shows that the vibrations of the audio system easily move a phone on a cardboard surface.

“This is one of those trucks you have to see to believe,” Brantley Gilbert explains. The country rock star, who has just released his new album “So Help Me God,” was delighted and immediately uploaded the video of the making of to his YouTube channel, followed by over 1.4 million people.
His truck is powered by a 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel engine, which generates 475 horsepower (482 metric horsepower) and 266 pound-feet (361 Newton meters) of torque to both axles via a ten-speed automatic transmission.
Despite tipping the scale at 8,699 pounds (3,946 kilograms), it runs the 0 to 60 mph gap in a decent 6.8 seconds, hits 100 mph (160 kph) in 19.4 seconds, and does the quarter mile in 14.7 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 123 mph (198 kph).
Of course, it is not exactly the type of vehicle you’d take drag racing. Brantley Gilbert calls it a “farm truck.” However, it doesn’t exactly look like one anymore.
His social media also show a white Ford F-350. However, it is unclear if this black beast modified by Roush Performance used to be the white one in his posts or a new one. Either way, an F-350 Crew Cab with the Lariat grade starts at $74,450. He doesn’t mention the cost of the makeover, but by the looks of it, we can tell it wasn’t exactly cheap.
The country music star won’t be touring America in his brand-new-looking pickup truck. He’s got a whole team to take with him, so a bus will do the job.
