Despite the looming doubt, the young driver is leaving a trail of success in the Truck Series, solidifying his reputation as a force to be reckoned with.
Having kickstarted his NASCAR journey in the Truck Series at Darlington Raceway in 2021, Heim, sporting the #11 for Tricon Garage, has participated in over 75 races, clinching an impressive 15 wins and securing 57 top-ten finishes. His remarkable talent was further highlighted in the 2024 season when he finished as the runner-up, showcasing his potential for greatness in the motorsport realm.
In the current season, the 22-year-old prodigy is proving to be a formidable contender for the 2025 Truck Series title, displaying exceptional skills and determination on the track. With an outstanding performance record, Heim has led over 800 laps in just 12 races, a feat unprecedented in the series’s history. NASCAR Insights acknowledged this milestone by declaring, “Corey Heim is now the first driver in Craftsman Truck Series history to lead 800 laps in the first 12 races of a season.”
Heim’s dominance this season is undeniable, with four race wins under his belt, starting from the season opener at Daytona International Speedway and followed by victories at Las Vegas, Texas Motor Speedway, and the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Despite his impressive achievements, Heim faced a narrow defeat at Nashville Superspeedway, finishing second to Rajah Caruth, a protege of Bubba Wallace from 23XI Racing, who secured his first win of the 2025 Truck Series campaign.
Acknowledging the challenges he has encountered throughout the season, Heim remains resilient and focused on his goals. In a post-race interview, he expressed his frustrations with unforeseen circumstances affecting his performance, citing incidents such as an engine issue at Homestead and being spun out in a previous race. Despite these setbacks, Heim remains optimistic, stating, “Four wins this early in the season is a lot to be proud and a lot more season left.”
