Young racing prodigy, Connor Zilisch, is set to ignite the track once again with a major announcement alongside Trackhouse Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series. The talented Xfinity driver, known for his Red Bull-sponsored No. 87 Chevrolet, is gearing up for two exhilarating races in the premier division, aiming to showcase his skills behind the wheel of the Next-Gen car.

Zilisch, who currently races full-time for JR Motorsports in the Xfinity Series, has already made a significant impact in his rookie season with two impressive victories and eight top-10 finishes in just 17 starts. The 18-year-old driver has also had the opportunity to make two Cup Series starts for Trackhouse Racing, where he serves as a development driver under the mentorship of industry veterans.

With a recent announcement from the Justin Marks-owned organization, Zilisch will be adding two more races to his Cup Series schedule, including Atlanta Motor Speedway and Watkins Glen International. The team took to social media to share the exciting news, stating, “NEWS: We’re adding Atlanta and Watkins Glen to @ConnorZilisch’s Cup Series schedule. He’ll drive the No. 87 @redbull Chevy again at both races this summer.”

Excited about the upcoming races, Zilisch expressed his enthusiasm on social media, saying, “So stoked. Two awesome tracks I get to experience in the cup car with @redbull !!” The young driver, who has a background in road course racing and SportsCar, made headlines last year with a debut win at Watkins Glen, showcasing his potential for success in the Cup Series.

During his recent races, Zilisch had a taste of the competitive Cup environment, notably racing alongside legendary driver Jimmie Johnson in Charlotte. Despite some challenges during the races, Zilisch remains determined and focused on making his mark in the racing world, eagerly anticipating the upcoming events on his schedule.

Currently standing strong in the Xfinity points standings at P5, Zilisch has proven to be a force to be reckoned with on the track, with one victory and multiple top finishes this season. Fans can expect an electrifying performance from Zilisch as he continues to push boundaries and chase his dreams in the world of NASCAR.
