Citroën mostra as primeiras imagens do Basalt Vision

Citroën today revealed the first images of the Basalt Vision, which previews the new SUV Coupé destined for the markets of South America and India that combines the fluidity and dynamism of a Coupé with the advantages and robustness of an SUV.

Developed in South America with strong local integration, the Basalt will support Citroën’s international growth alongside the C3 and Aircross in the brand’s key markets.

With a design that blends lines from the C3 and C3 Aircross, the Basalt Vision inherits the compact version’s double headlights in an “X” shape with the upper grille, and uses an LED illuminated line to connect with the central piece. The air intake in the middle has a similar shape to the Aircross, but uses a frame on the edges. The bumper is different from others, with larger fog lights mounted on the ends.

At the rear, there is a highlight of the slim and long taillights, with the turn signal lights placed at the bottom. Being a coupé version, the Basalt has a roofline that ends in a small spoiler.

Citroën has not revealed details about the range of engines it will offer with its new SUV Coupé, however it is already known that the new model will share the CMP and eCMP platforms with the new C3 and C3 Aircross, and therefore should make use of the 1.0 liter turbo gasoline engine with three cylinders, with 130 hp, as well as a 1.2 liter turbo engine with 110 hp.
