Citroen Racing Unveils Star-Powered Driver Line-Up for Thrilling Formula E Season 12!

Citroen Racing Unleashes a Powerhouse Duo for Formula E Season 12!

In a thrilling announcement that has electrified the motorsport community, Citroen Racing has unveiled its formidable driver lineup for the highly anticipated Season 12 of Formula E. Buckle up, fans! The team is going all in with the dynamic duo of Jean-Eric Vergne and Nick Cassidy, as they gear up for an audacious debut in the all-electric racing series.

Citroen’s strategic choice leans heavily on experience, aiming to make an immediate impact on the Formula E circuit. At the forefront is Jean-Eric Vergne, a seasoned veteran of motorsport who, at 35, boasts a remarkable resume that spans multiple high-profile competitions. With an impressive stint in Formula 1 from 2012 to 2014 under his belt, Vergne has also made significant waves in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and continues to shine in both the World Endurance Championship and Formula E.

Vergne’s legacy in the electric racing arena is nothing short of legendary. As a cornerstone of Formula E since its inception, he has etched his name into the record books as the first—and only—driver to clinch consecutive Drivers’ Championships. This season marks a pivotal shift for Vergne as he leaves DS Penske behind, making way for Taylor Barnard to step into his previous role. The departure from DS Penske signifies a new chapter and a fresh start with Citroen, where he is set to unleash his competitive spirit.

Joining Vergne is the formidable Nick Cassidy, a 31-year-old racing prodigy from New Zealand who has captured the attention of fans and competitors alike. Cassidy, who has a rich history of success in racing—having conquered Super Formula, Super GT, and Formula 3—emerged as a serious contender in Formula E, showcasing his talent with Jaguar TCS Racing. His remarkable performances in Season 10 and 11 placed him firmly in the title contention spotlight, and now he brings that fierce competitive edge to Citroen Racing.

As Citroen Racing dives into the electrifying world of Formula E, the anticipation is palpable. With Vergne’s unparalleled expertise and Cassidy’s rising star status, this duo is poised to shake things up and challenge the status quo. The stage is set for a thrilling season filled with high-speed rivalries, strategic racing, and the relentless pursuit of victory.

Stay tuned, motorsport enthusiasts! The countdown to Season 12 is on, and Citroen Racing is ready to make waves in the all-electric racing realm!
