Citroën Ami celebra quarto aniversário com nova versão e kit de carga

With over 50,000 units sold since its launch in 2020, of which 1500 were sold in Portugal, the Citroën Ami was the brand’s first proposal to the challenges of micromobility and energy transition. The French brand invested in an affordable and innovative two-seater electric vehicle that, in certain countries, can be used by young people from the age of 14 without a driver’s license.

To mark the 4th anniversary of the small model, the Ami range has evolved and adopted a new “Night Sepia” paint, a dark raw brown that gives it greater consistency and robustness. It also gained a new version, Peps, which according to Citroën, combines the best features of the Tonic and Pop versions of the Ami.

This new version Peps is characterized by an attractive style and features an expressive front end, with a black graphic strip under the windshield, enlivened by horizontal stickers in acid yellow and black headlight contours. The dynamic touch is given by a rear spoiler, four wheel embellishers with floral design, and white details, two stickers on the rear panel and two stickers on the door sills. In the rear, the highlight is the circle, half solid and half filigree, which reinforces the style and reflects the round shapes of the vehicle and its headlights. The circle is also reflected in the lower part of the door capsule. Inside the My Ami Peps, it is equipped with all the standard equipment that facilitates daily life, with functional accessories such as a smartphone holder, nets on the doors with an orange stripe, the central divider net, the yellow hook for bags, and three storage compartments in orange tone. The doors maintain the two opening straps and there are orange stitching on the carpets. The “DataAmi” connectivity box allows the user to connect their smartphone to the Ami to access all data (available range, mileage, maintenance alerts, etc.).

In terms of infotainment, the model integrates the “My Ami Play” interface, which turns the smartphone into an instrument panel, allowing quick access to navigation, music, radio, and phone calls. All these functions are remotely controlled through the Citroën Switch button on the steering wheel, so you can keep your eyes on the road and drive with peace of mind and safety.

The French brand has already announced that the new Ami Peps is available for a price of €8990.

The Citroën also revealed that it has improved the Cargo version, thus responding to the requests of its customers, equipping the model with a module called KIT My Cargo, available as an accessory, which allows for greater versatility in the use of the Ami.

In this way, the My Cargo kit allows easy access thanks to the door opening angle, the volumes can be loaded in an area that holds up to 200 liters, under the storage net, or a total of 340 liters, distributed throughout the vehicle. At any time, the three elements that make up this kit can be folded and placed behind the seat, stored in a specific bag.

The kit allows the passenger seat to remain in the cabin, but its modular design allows it to be quickly folded and stored, reclaiming the space.
