The Chrysler announced the end of production of the 300C model equipped with the V8 Hemi engine, with the last unit coming off the production line at the Brampton factory in Ontario, Canada.
The ultimate 300C produced is a model with the Velvet Red bodywork and belongs to a special limited series of 2,000 units for the United States and Canada, which features specific logos.
“The Chrysler brand is proud to celebrate the legacy of the Chrysler 300C as a true automotive icon, one of the original muscle cars that represents bold American luxury,” said Chris Feuell, Executive Director of the brand.
“As we celebrate the production of the last 300C with a Hemi engine with our Brampton team members, we are also excited to work together as Chrysler moves towards a fully electric sustainable future as part of Stellantis’ strategic plan, Dare Forward 2030.”
The current generation 300C launched in 2011 has been kept in production over the years and has undergone occasional updates. Despite its age, the model has always had a loyal clientele that helped maintain the production of this large sedan.
However, Chrysler has already announced that by the end of 2023, the production of all variants of the 300C will end, including those equipped with the V6 engine, thus putting an end to the production of one of the most charismatic models of the American brand.
