Christian Horner fala sobre o futuro de Daniel Ricciardo na Fórmula 1 após especulações sobre sua possível substituição.

Christian Horner shared his thoughts on Daniel Ricciardo’s uncertain future at Red Bull Racing. Horner, who serves as team principal, expressed the team’s desire to focus on developing young drivers. He emphasized that Ricciardo would need to deliver exceptional performances to be considered for a spot in the Red Bull main team. However, it is likely that a younger driver, such as Yuki Tsunoda, will take Ricciardo’s place next season.

Horner acknowledged that Ricciardo could have been considered for a position in the main team if he had performed exceptionally well. However, Red Bull decided to extend another driver’s contract, making it impossible for Ricciardo to secure that spot. Given his current performance, most teams probably won’t hire him for the 2025 season, putting his Formula 1 career at risk. Red Bull has made it clear that they prioritize young talent in their junior team, and Ricciardo will need to show exceptional performances to change the team’s opinion and secure his future in the sport.

Horner also mentioned that Ricciardo’s mentorship has been valuable to the team. He explained that it is part of his responsibility, as guided by the shareholders, to develop young drivers. Ricciardo’s experience can greatly benefit these rising talents and help improve their skills. This mentorship is a crucial aspect of Red Bull’s mission to nurture the next generation of racing talent.

Furthermore, Horner revealed that the team has made a significant decision to keep Tsunoda as their driver for the 2025 season. This decision was crucial for the team, and their main focus remains on improving the performance of their car as they approach the summer break. During this period, they plan to have internal discussions to strategize for the future.

Without a doubt, Horner hinted at the possibility of Ricciardo losing his spot if he continues to underperform. Red Bull has already confirmed that their other driver, Yuki Tsunoda, will stay with the team. Fans are hopeful for a strong performance from Red Bull in their home race, the [Race Name].
