Christian Horner toma medidas para proteger associado chave de Adrian Newey em meio a especulações de saída da Red Bull.

According to reports, Christian Horner is working to protect Red Bull’s technological leadership amid speculation about Adrian Newey’s possible departure. Red Bull has performed well on the tracks in 2024. However, there have been difficulties in Milton Keynes due to internal issues following an investigation. Rumors have emerged suggesting that the aerodynamic genius may leave the team at the end of the year. Now, reports indicate that Horner is taking steps to ensure the team’s technical structure.

According to Soymotor, Horner is acting quickly to protect the team in case Newey leaves. Two key individuals, the Technical Director and the Head of Aerodynamics, are believed to be central to Red Bull’s plans. Pierre Wache, who is considered Newey’s right-hand man, has played a significant role in the team’s success. Dutch racing driver Max Verstappen highlighted the strong bond between Verstappen and Wache. On the other hand, Enrico Balbo is credited with bringing Newey’s ideas to life.

According to reports, Christian Horner has implemented protocols to protect technical leadership in Milton Keynes. This would prevent Wache and Balbo from joining rival teams. Red Bull needs these key figures as they prepare for the new regulations in 2026, when the team will use their own power units.

Red Bull has decided to develop their own power units for the 2026 regulations. The company has invested millions in new infrastructure and partnered with the American automaker Ford for the project. Red Bull Ford Powertrains will play a crucial role in Max Verstappen’s commitment to the team’s future.

Tom Coronel stated that there are rumors that Red Bull is far behind their goals for the 2026 power units. The Dutch racing driver believes that the team is struggling to extract power from the engine. In fact, Coronel suggests that Red Bull may even fail to produce a competitive engine for the new era of Formula 1.

Undoubtedly, Red Bull finds itself in a challenging position with the new rules. Christian Horner will need to make significant decisions in the coming months to ensure that Milton Keynes remains a top competitor. Fans will be eager to see if Horner can rescue the team from an even bigger collapse.
