The Red Bull team boss, Christian Horner, emphasized that despite Sergio Perez not securing a podium finish in the Spanish Grand Prix, the team still managed to gain points in the Constructors’ Championship. Horner acknowledged that it was another challenging weekend for Red Bull, with Perez struggling to deliver his best performance. The Mexican driver finished in eighth place, while his teammate clinched his seventh victory of the season.

Horner defended Perez’s performance and highlighted the team’s overall success. He noted that despite Perez’s disappointing performance, the team’s lead in the championship had extended. Horner emphasized the importance of having Perez, as his presence among the top drivers is crucial for the team’s strategic options during races.

Christian Horner emphasized that Perez had an exceptional performance in the early races of the season, significantly contributing to the team’s good results and point accumulation. Horner expressed confidence that Perez can regain his previous form, which would benefit the entire team. He attributed Perez’s recent struggles to a lack of confidence, as the Mexican driver relies on self-belief to perform at his best.

In conclusion, despite Sergio Perez’s difficulties, Christian Horner believes that his contribution to the team, including finishing in the top ten, will increase his confidence and lead to improved performances in the upcoming races. The fans are eager for Perez’s return to form and his collaboration with his teammate to maintain the team’s strong leadership.
