Christian Horner afirma que Max Verstappen mostrou por que é um campeão mundial com sua vitória no Grande Prêmio da Espanha.

Max Verstappen emerged victorious in the Spanish Grand Prix after an exciting strategic duel with Lando Norris. The 2024 season began with Max Verstappen and Christian Horner’s Red Bull team establishing an unprecedented advantage over their competitors. However, as the season progressed, other teams started stealing victories from them, leaving the Austrian team susceptible to a possible title threat. However, after his win in Spain under challenging circumstances, Max Verstappen showcased his champion skills through an exceptional performance.

Max Verstappen entered Formula 1 in 2015 with the support of Red Bull. Since then, the Dutch driver has remained loyal to the team, delivering notable wins whenever the situation demanded. This was evident once again in Spain, where Verstappen narrowly missed out on pole position to the talented McLaren driver. Despite this setback, Verstappen quickly overtook his rival in the first corner and dominated the race.

Red Bull team boss Christian Horner emphasized that their unwavering dedication sets them apart from other manufacturers. However, Verstappen’s exceptional speed and unwavering determination cannot be overlooked. Horner stated that Verstappen’s performance in Spain served as a testament to his status as a world champion, establishing himself as the benchmark for the field.

While Verstappen reaffirmed his status as the driver to beat, Lando Norris continued to solidify his reputation in the paddock. The 24-year-old driver has posed a significant challenge to Verstappen, capturing the attention of many. Even Horner acknowledged Norris as the most consistent competitor on the track, impressed with his pace in the recent stages of the race. Verstappen defeated Norris by a narrow margin of just 2.2 seconds. Horner admitted that Norris is the most consistent challenger to Verstappen’s dominance.

Currently, Verstappen maintains a 69-point advantage over Norris in the championship standings. With several races remaining, the battle for the championship could intensify in the upcoming events.
