Christian Horner’s Alleged Ferrari F1 Move Crushed by Red Bull Boss!
The Formula 1 rumor mill has been buzzing with speculation that Red Bull’s team principal, Christian Horner, could be lured to Ferrari. Reports suggest that Ferrari’s chairman, John Elkann, has a deep admiration for Horner’s achievements, especially his successful stints with Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen at Red Bull. Elkann has allegedly made multiple attempts to poach Horner in recent years, fueling the rumors further.
However, Horner, who has been at the helm of Red Bull since its inception in 2005 and recently extended his contract until 2030, has vehemently shut down these speculations. During the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona, Horner made it clear that his loyalty lies solely with Red Bull, stating, “Look, of course, it’s always flattering to be associated with other teams, but my commitment 100% is with Red Bull. It always has been and certainly will be for the long term.”
Dismissively addressing the swirling rumors, Horner added, “There’s a bunch of speculation, as always in this business, about people coming here, going there, whatever. And I think people in the team know exactly what the situation is.”
With a touch of humor, Horner pointed out the language barrier, saying, “My Italian is worse than Flavio [Briatore’s] English. So, how on earth would that work?”
Meanwhile, Ferrari made a strategic move ahead of the 2023 season by appointing Fred Vasseur as the team boss. Vasseur led Ferrari to a commendable second-place finish in the constructors’ championship last year, and the team currently sits fourth in the standings. The Italian outfit made headlines by securing the services of seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton to partner with Charles Leclerc, aiming to reclaim the top spot in Formula 1 when the new technical regulations come into play in 2026.
