Christian Horner: Italian Inferiority to Briatore’s English Mars Ferrari Courtship

BARCELONA, SPAIN - MAY 30: Christian Horner, Team Principal of Oracle Red Bull Racing and Flavio Briatore, Executive Advisor of Alpine F1 in the Team Principals Press Conference during practice ahead of the F1 Grand Prix of Spain at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on May 30, 2025 in Barcelona, Spain. The Red Bull principal, Christian Horner, shuts down Ferrari rumors and jokes about his lack of Italian skills compared to Flavio Briatore’s English proficiency.

In a recent statement, Horner addressed the speculations linking him to Ferrari, firmly stating his commitment to Red Bull. Despite rumors circulating in the media, the British manager made it clear that his focus remains unwaveringly on his current team.

During a press conference with other team principals, Horner faced questions about the alleged interest from Ferrari. He responded by saying, “It’s always flattering to be associated with other teams, but my dedication is 100% with Red Bull. It always has been and certainly will be in the long term.”

In a light-hearted moment, Horner took a jab at his own language skills compared to his friend Flavio Briatore, who was also present at the conference. Horner humorously remarked, “There are many speculations, as always in this environment. But I think the people in the team know exactly what the situation is. My Italian is worse than Flavio’s English. So how on earth could that work?”

Despite the ongoing rumors and discussions in the Formula 1 world, Horner’s loyalty to Red Bull appears steadfast, putting an end to any potential switch to the iconic Ferrari team.
