Christian Horner garante que a Red Bull está completamente tranquila com Max Verstappen permanecendo na equipe, apesar dos rumores sobre a Mercedes.

Max Verstappen has been exercising his profession with Red Bull since 2016. The team’s principal, Christian Horner, is quite confident about the current world champion’s position on the team. Verstappen has a contract that extends until the end of 2028, but recent turbulence has generated speculation about a possible move to Mercedes in the future.

The controversy involving Christian Horner and the constant power struggles within the team have only added fuel to the fire. Many team principals have their eyes on the Dutchman. However, surprisingly, Horner remains remarkably calm about the situation.

From a sporting perspective, there is no reason for Max Verstappen to consider leaving Red Bull. The team is stronger than ever, with their RB20 car dominating the grid. Red Bull has shown its strength in the past few seasons. The only circumstance that would make Verstappen think about a change is if Red Bull does not provide him with a competitive car.

After a disappointing weekend at the Australian GP, Verstappen had a better start during the current Japanese GP. He was the fastest during FP1, but due to light rain, he had to sit out FP2 to preserve the tires. The 26-year-old driver took the opportunity to reflect on his performance on Friday after the end of the FP2 session.

Verstappen expressed his disappointment at not being able to do anything in FP2 due to the weather. He acknowledged that everyone seems to be closer in terms of performance compared to last year. He also shared that he used to feel intimidated by the Suzuka circuit in the past, but now it is one of his favorite tracks. Red Bull showed good overall pace during FP1 and FP2, but other teams are also closing in. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top in the Japanese GP on Sunday.
