Renowned Formula 1 aerodynamics specialist, Adrian Newey, will continue to make appearances at some F1 races this season despite his departure from Milton Keynes. Newey, who spent two remarkable decades at Red Bull Racing, played a crucial role in the team’s success. Although he is no longer involved in any F1 responsibilities for Red Bull, he was recently seen in their garage. The reason behind his presence was revealed by team principal, Christian Horner.

Horner clarified that Newey, at 65 years old, did not attend any meetings over the weekend, except one about race strategy. Additionally, he no longer has access to car data and is not involved in designing parts for the RB20. Essentially, Newey is no longer actively working for Red Bull Racing.

However, it is important to note that Newey is still associated with Red Bull Advanced Technologies. Until the end of his contract in early 2025, the 65-year-old is fully committed to working on the RB17 Hypercar. Horner also mentioned that Newey will be present at certain F1 races, where he will meet with interested clients for the RB17.
