Christian Horner acusa especialista em aerodinâmica Adrian Newey de detestar cada modificação nas regulamentações técnicas da Fórmula 1.

Adrian Newey, the mastermind behind Red Bull’s remarkable success in Formula 1, is set to leave the team by the 2025 season. Speculation is rife that growing tensions within Red Bull may be the cause of this surprising departure. The renowned aerospace genius has not yet revealed the official reasons for his exit, but it is known that he has always been resistant to changes in the sport’s technical rules.

Some believe that Newey’s departure is simply a result of his desire to take a break from the high-pressure world of Formula 1. At 65 years old, he certainly has the right to step back and spend more time with his family, away from the demanding responsibilities of top-tier motorsport.

In addition, Red Bull team principal Christian Horner mentioned that Newey is eager to prioritize his family after retiring from the sport. Ironically, despite his aversion to regulatory changes, Newey has always excelled in chassis development over several seasons.

Newey’s retirement could have serious implications on Red Bull’s chassis development in the 2026 season. Horner emphasized that the upcoming regulatory changes are unprecedented, as they encompass both chassis and engine regulations. Formula 1 is taking a step back by reducing the size of the chassis, and the introduction of a cost cap and resource restrictions adds a new dimension to the sport.

Despite Horner’s beliefs, rumors suggest that Ferrari is highly interested in acquiring Newey’s expertise. It seems that the 65-year-old may not be ready to give up so soon and could explore opportunities with the Italian constructor. So far, no definitive decision has been made regarding Newey’s future in Formula 1. It is expected that he will address the rumors and provide clarity on his role in the sport in the coming seasons.
