Chip Ganassi Racing (CGR) is giving fans an extraordinary opportunity to own a piece of motorsport history while making a difference in the community. The Indianapolis-based powerhouse will open its shop doors this Saturday, December 16, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., for a one-of-a-kind garage sale featuring racing memorabilia, gear, and rare items from its storied past.

“A Treasure Trove for Racing Fans”

The sale offers fans a chance to purchase exclusive items spanning the last 10 to 15 years of CGR’s IndyCar and IMSA campaigns. From driver firesuits and pit crew helmets to race-used bodywork like wings and sidepods, the event promises a treasure trove for motorsport enthusiasts.

“CGR will sell a variety of one-of-a-kind items from cars and drivers over the last 10-15 years,” the team announced. “Items for sale include driver firesuits, select bodywork from its race cars, including wings and sidepods, pit crew helmets, and more.”

The event comes as CGR looks to streamline its operations following recent downsizing in IndyCar and IMSA, reducing its inventory of spare parts and memorabilia accumulated over decades of competition.

“A Garage Sale with a Heart”

Beyond offering fans unique racing collectibles, the event doubles as a charitable initiative. CGR has partnered with the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis to bring holiday cheer to children in need. Attendees are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys for children ranging from newborns to age 15.

As a token of appreciation, fans who donate will receive an exclusive pack of CGR trading cards from 2023 or 2024, while supplies last.

“How to Participate”

  • Location: Chip Ganassi Racing Indianapolis Shop
  • Date and Time: Saturday, December 16, 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Payment: The event is cashless, so fans should be prepared with digital payment methods.
  • Charity: Bring a new, unwrapped toy for donation to the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis.

“An Opportunity to Give Back”

The CGR Garage Sale isn’t just about acquiring racing memorabilia—it’s about making a difference. By combining the excitement of motorsport collectibles with a charitable cause, Chip Ganassi Racing is creating a meaningful way for fans to celebrate the holiday season.
