The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers has described as “unacceptable” the possible increases in import tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles of up to 38.1%, which could be applied from July by the European Union
In a statement published on its official Wechat account, and quoted by the “Efe” agency, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers expressed its “disappointment” at what it considers to be a “distortion of the investigation results” by the European Commission, while ensuring that “the Chinese automotive industry actively cooperated, providing all the documentation requested by the investigating authorities”.
Chinese car manufacturers accuse the European Commission of “biased selection of companies for sampling” and “abusing its investigative power”.
