Koenigsegg is in one of the best moments of its history, producing three distinct models of supercars for the first time.
The Swedish manufacturer has the Jesko, Gemera, and CC850 in production, and in the meantime, the brand’s engineers still have time to respond to special requests from their customers.
One of the latest cases is that of FIA president, Mohammed Ben Saluyem, who ordered a unique model, named Chimera, which according to Koenigsegg is based on the Agera RS but uses parts from the Jesko and CC850.
The FIA strongman is a special customer of the Swedish brand, as he has had an Agera RS in his garage for six years, and when Koenigsegg revealed the CC850 with exclusive manual transmission in 2022, he decided to order an even more special supercar. Thus, he asked the brand to modify his Agera RS and install the Jesko engine and CC850 transmission.
The request ended up being carried out and documented on video by Top Gear, which shows the detailed work that was necessary to install the 5.0 biturbo V8, which in this Chimera receives the same 1280 hp as the Jesko (or 1600 hp with E85 gasoline).
In addition, it is equipped with a “shift-by-wire” CC850 gearbox, which allows for manual or fully automatic driving through the steering wheel paddles.
The price of this modification was not revealed, but that should not be a problem for Ben Saluyem, who has several sports cars in his garage such as the Ferrari LaFerrari, Bugatti Chiron Super Sport, McLaren Senna, Pagani Huayra BC, two McLaren Speedtails, among other models.
