Chase Elliott’s Future Plans Revealed: Will He Make a Shocking Move to the Indy 500?

NASCAR sensation Chase Elliott has recently opened up about the possibility of following his teammate Kyle Larson’s footsteps to the iconic Indy 500. After Larson’s attempt at the ‘double’ last season was disrupted by rain, he is gearing up to tackle both the Indy 500 and the Coke 600 on the same day this season. While Elliott showed support for Larson’s ventures outside of NASCAR, he seemed hesitant about competing in the prestigious Indy 500 himself in the future.

In a recent media session, Chase Elliott shared his thoughts on Larson’s progress and potential Indy 500 run, stating, “A little, but not much.” Despite not showing a keen interest in the iconic race at the moment, Elliott expressed his excitement in following Larson’s journey and wished him the best for the upcoming challenge.

Reflecting on his own performance this season, Elliott highlighted his consistent results, with three top fives and three top 10 finishes so far. Impressively, Elliott has not finished outside the top 20 in any of the 12 races this season, showcasing his steady presence in the NASCAR scene.

While acknowledging the team’s lack of ‘extreme pace,’ Elliott remained optimistic about their progress, especially after a strong showing in Kansas. The 2020 Cup champion emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum and hoped that their recent performance would set them up for success in the second half of the season.

Despite the unpredictable nature of NASCAR, Elliott emphasized the team’s focus on taking each race as it comes and building on their achievements. With a positive outlook and determination to improve, Chase Elliott and the #9 team are ready to face whatever challenges come their way in the remainder of the season.
