In a stunning display of speed and skill, Chase Elliott has claimed the pole position for the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Pocono Raceway. The Hendrick Motorsports driver blazed around the 2.5-mile track in a jaw-dropping 54.209 seconds at 166.024 mph, securing his first pole of the season and the third of his Xfinity Series career.
Elliott’s fierce competition was no match for his determination as he outpaced Brandon Jones in a Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, who settled for second place. Nick Sanchez in the No. 48 Chevrolet, William Sawalich in another JGR Toyota, and Ryan Sieg in his Ford rounded out the top five, but they couldn’t catch the lightning speed of Elliott.
The intensity of the qualifying session kept fans on the edge of their seats as Sam Mayer, Taylor Gray, current point leader Justin Allgaier, Connor Zilisch, and Jesse Love fought for their positions in the top ten.
