Chase Elliott explica o segredo para vencer em Martinsville após grandes ajustes na era Next-Gen.

Chase Elliott believes that the introduction of Next-Gen cars has resulted in notable changes in racing at Martinsville. The NASCAR Cup garage is gearing up for another challenge at Martinsville Speedway this Sunday. The implementation of Next-Gen cars has forever changed racing on short tracks, making it difficult to have exciting races due to traffic and lack of passing. Now, Hendrick Motorsports has provided detailed instructions on how to succeed on the track facing these new challenges.

Chase Elliott emphasized that track position has been crucial at Martinsville since the beginning of the Next-Gen era. He highlighted the importance of qualifying and pit stops on short tracks in this new era. The 2020 Cup champion also expressed disbelief that the track has become so focused on track position over the past few decades.

After securing a top-5 finish in Richmond last week, the No. 9 team has high expectations for the weekend. This was the first time in 15 races that they achieved a top-5, providing the team with the much-needed positive momentum for this weekend.

Martinsville holds great significance for HMS, as it is where they earned their first NASCAR victory. The No. 9 team boss acknowledges this historical importance and its meaning for team owner Rick Hendrick and his company. He also stated that he and his driver are approaching the race with a positive boost.

Rick Hendrick hopes to see one of his drivers in Victory Lane on Sunday, just as they did last year. It would be a double joy for the team if Chase Elliott or even another driver could end their winless streak and secure a spot in the playoffs.
