Chase Briscoe Dominates Michigan Cup with Third Consecutive Pole Win

In a stunning display of dominance, Chase Briscoe secured his third consecutive pole position at the Michigan International Speedway. Briscoe’s blazing lap of 195.514 mph not only earned him the top starting spot but also set a new record for the fastest pole in the Next Gen car era, leaving his competitors in the dust.

This remarkable achievement is even more impressive considering Briscoe had never qualified in the top 20 at Michigan before this outstanding performance. With four poles under his belt this year, Briscoe now holds the record for the most poles in the series, solidifying his reputation as a force to be reckoned with on the track.

Notably, Briscoe joins the ranks of racing legend Kyle Larson as the only driver to clinch three consecutive poles since Larson’s feat back in April 2024. The pressure is on for Briscoe to maintain his winning streak and prove that his pole positions are no fluke.

Following Briscoe in the starting lineup is the formidable Kyle Busch, who will start in second place after a commendable lap of 195.371 mph. Denny Hamlin, amidst the anticipation of impending fatherhood, secured the third spot with a lap of 195.328 mph, showing his unwavering focus and commitment to the race despite personal matters.

The stage is set for an electrifying showdown as William Byron and Larson round out the top five starters, poised to challenge Briscoe’s reign at the front of the pack. With the green flag scheduled to drop at 2:19 p.m. ET on Sunday, racing enthusiasts are in for a thrilling Michigan Cup event that promises intense competition and adrenaline-pumping action.

Stay tuned as these top drivers battle it out for glory and supremacy on the track, vying for victory in one of the most anticipated races of the season.
