Reflecting on his race strategy, Briscoe acknowledged his attempts to manage his tires and conserve his car for crucial moments on the track. While he felt proud of his second-place finish, he candidly admitted, “I just never had anything for Shane.” The gap in skill and performance between the two drivers was evident throughout the race, with Briscoe recognizing van Gisbergen’s exceptional talent on road courses.

Drawing inspiration from Martin Truex Jr.’s success at the track, Briscoe implemented key insights shared by his team, ultimately leading to a commendable second-place finish.
