Charles Leclerc reveals: Ferrari held back speed in qualifying for the Chinese GP to focus on the race.

Charles Leclerc emphasized that Scuderia focused on the main race setup of the car after a disappointing qualifying session. Scuderia Ferrari had a mediocre qualifying session at [race name], and they did not pose a significant threat to [competitor] throughout the weekend, including the sprint race. However, despite starting Sunday’s race in P6, Leclerc remains positive about the team’s chances after revealing Ferrari’s plan for the Grand Prix.

The Monaco driver highlighted that Maranello made significant progress in resolving their tire issues this weekend. However, he stated that Scuderia faced difficulties in the first sector of the Shanghai International Circuit. Additionally, the 26-year-old driver mentioned that Ferrari sacrificed their qualifying setup to maximize the car’s performance in the race.

Leclerc confirmed that the Italian team had a favorable setup for the Grand Prix. However, he expressed disappointment in not securing a better starting position for the race. Charles Leclerc emphasized that points are awarded on Sunday, so he is hoping for a better performance tomorrow.

Scuderia Ferrari is considered the closest competitor to Red Bull this season. They showcased their potential after winning the Australian GP. However, Ferrari’s disappointing qualifying result may cost crucial points in their battle against Milton Keynes for the championship.

Charles Leclerc admitted that he did not expect to be so far behind [competitor] when they secured the front row for Red Bull. The Monaco driver was pleased with his pace in the first qualifying session. However, due to windy conditions in Q3, Ferrari seemed to lose the maximum performance of the SF24.

Undoubtedly, Charles Leclerc hopes to compete for the victory in Sunday’s race. If the setup works as planned, the Scuderia may gain positions at the start. However, it is evident that Leclerc and Sainz will face a challenging race at [race name]. Nevertheless, fans are eager to witness the Cavallino Rampante secure another victory this season.
