Charles Leclerc Unleashes Fury After Disastrous Qualifying Session at Canadian GP

Scuderia Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc left fans stunned with his scathing assessment of his performance at the Canadian Grand Prix qualifying session. The young driver, who had a rocky start to the weekend after a crash limited his practice time, expressed deep frustration after securing only an eighth-place starting position.

Leclerc did not mince words when reflecting on his qualifying run, bluntly admitting, “I f***ed it up completely.” The Ferrari driver’s disappointment was palpable as he lamented the missed opportunity for a pole position.

The Monegasque driver’s woes began early in the weekend when a crash during practice forced him to sit out FP2 for repairs. Despite feeling comfortable during his limited laps, Leclerc faced challenges during the crucial qualifying session.

A particularly tense moment occurred in Q3 when Leclerc’s fast lap was compromised by encountering another car on the track. The disruptive air caused by the presence of the car ahead led to Leclerc losing crucial grip and ultimately settling for eighth on the grid.

In a candid interview, Leclerc expressed his frustration, stating, “The pace was there… I think the car was good enough for pole, but I f***ed it up completely.” The driver acknowledged the missed opportunity to capitalize on the car’s strength, emphasizing that they had not maximized their potential.

Despite the setback, Leclerc remained optimistic about his chances in the race, hinting at a possible podium finish. While acknowledging the challenges posed by dirty air on tracks like the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, he refrained from blaming the driver who inadvertently affected his qualifying lap.

With the speed and potential for a strong finish, Leclerc’s determination to make up for the qualifying disappointment is evident. As he sets his sights on the race day, the Ferrari driver remains focused on overcoming the obstacles and aiming for a podium position in the Canadian Grand Prix.
