Charles Leclerc offers Ferrari a crucial suggestion as SF-24 lacks sufficient speed.

Ferrari F1 Instagram

Ferrari was outperformed by Mercedes and McLaren during the Belgian Grand Prix. The driver of Scuderia Ferrari, Charles Leclerc, expressed his dissatisfaction with his team’s performance at the race. Leclerc initially finished in fourth place but was later promoted to third after another driver’s disqualification at Spa-Francorchamps.

At the beginning of the season, Ferrari showed strength with two race victories. However, their subsequent upgrades have been ineffective, putting their position in the world championship race at risk. Leclerc has voiced his concerns about the team’s shortcomings this season and has called for a thorough evaluation of the upgrades made to the SF-24 in order to better suit their needs on the track.

Since his victory in Monaco earlier this year, Leclerc has struggled to demonstrate competitiveness on the track. He now hopes to collaborate with the team during the summer break to make a comeback at Zandvoort in August.

While Leclerc was pleased with the SF-24’s ability to keep Red Bull and McLaren behind during the race at Spa-Francorchamps, he was disappointed with Ferrari’s overall pace. Despite starting in pole position, he was unable to win the race. Leclerc mentioned that Mercedes surprised everyone at the Belgian GP and performed exceptionally well against Red Bull and McLaren. The efforts of George Russell, in particular, were highly praised, but he was ultimately disqualified due to a weight discrepancy.

In conclusion, Charles Leclerc acknowledged that the SF-24’s pace was insufficient to compete for the top positions in Belgium. The upcoming Dutch Grand Prix in August will serve as a demanding test for Ferrari and their performance on the track.
