With a truly dominating performance, Charles Leclerc secured pole position for the Las Vegas Grand Prix of Formula 1 on Saturday. The Ferrari driver led in all three sub-sessions, ultimately beating teammate Carlos Sainz by just 44 milliseconds.
The Monegasque driver mentioned that he has had good sensations aboard the SF-23 in the capital of Nevada, anticipating a close race in the mission to return to victory:
“I am excited to start from pole tomorrow, I really like the track and felt comfortable in the car all weekend. Overtaking is a bit more complicated than expected, and I hope we will see some good fights tomorrow. Our race pace looks good, so hopefully we can convert the pole into a win.”
