Charles Leclerc expressa decepção por perder pontos valiosos para a Ferrari devido a um duplo DNF em Montreal.

The Ferrari SF-24 car did not perform well at the 4.3 km Gilles Villeneuve racing circuit. The team had a disappointing outing at the 2024 Canadian GP, with both drivers finishing in P11 and P12 during qualifying and suffering a double retirement in the main race. It was an unforgettable event for Ferrari and its drivers.

During the 70-lap race, the drivers failed to make a significant impact. Leclerc retired on lap 43, while Sainz hit the barriers on lap 53 and had to retire due to extensive damage to his car.

Leclerc expressed his deep disappointment with Ferrari’s performance at the Canadian GP. The Monegasque driver is clearly upset with the team’s showing in Montreal. However, he understands that what’s done is done, and believes Ferrari must now focus on the next event and address the issues with the SF-24.

Sainz shares the same frustration as his teammate. The Spaniard believes the SF-24 was not at the required level to compete for a podium position at the Gilles Villeneuve racing circuit.

The Ferrari challenger faced difficulties on all tire compounds during the race. Despite this setback, Sainz remains confident ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix. He sees the Montreal event as an anomaly for the team and hopes things will return to normal in Barcelona. However, Ferrari needs to score significant points at the next event to maintain a comfortable advantage over McLaren in third place.
