Lotus announced on Wednesday the creation of a customization division, Lotus Chapman Bespoke, in homage to the founders of the British brand Colin and Hazel Chapman, which will allow its customers to personalize the brand’s vehicles.
The new customization service will initially be available for the Chinese market in April, and then implemented in other global markets in the coming months.
The new customization service will offer a wider selection of colors and finishes for the exterior and interior of Lotus models, allowing the customer to satisfy their personal tastes with unique details. In addition, Lotus will offer a one-off service that includes the “complete and unique customization of an entire vehicle,” in collaboration with Lotus designers.
“Many of our customers seek a personalized experience – whether it’s color, texture, fabric, details – and we are therefore excited to see the personality of our customers in our cars around the world.”, said Ben Payne, Lotus design vice president.
