In a thrilling turn of events at the F1 Japanese GP 2025 Free Practice 2, McLaren’s Oscar Piastri dominated the session, leaving his teammate Lando Norris trailing behind. The Racing Bulls’ Isack Hadjar clinched the third spot, but all eyes were on Piastri’s incredible performance, setting a blazing pace at Suzuka Circuit.

The practice session was not without its share of drama, with Alpine’s Jack Doohan crashing heavily at Turn 1, bringing out the red flag early on. Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin also faced challenges, going off track at Turn 8 and getting stuck in the gravel, prompting another red flag. The Suzuka Circuit proved to be a formidable opponent, testing the skills of even the most seasoned drivers.

Additionally, the session saw unexpected disruptions caused by fires near the track, possibly triggered by sparks from the cars, leading to more red flags and disrupting the teams’ strategies. Despite the chaos, some drivers shone through – Lewis Hamilton secured the fourth spot for Ferrari, while Liam Lawson of Racing Bulls made a strong comeback landing in fifth place.

The leaderboard showcased a mix of familiar names and rising stars, with George Russell of Mercedes in sixth, Charles Leclerc of Ferrari in seventh, and Max Verstappen of Red Bull in eighth place. The top ten was rounded off by Pierre Gasly of Alpine and Carlos Sainz of Williams, setting the stage for an intense competition in the upcoming races.

As the F1 Japanese GP 2025 unfolds, the stakes are high, and the battle for supremacy on the track intensifies. Stay tuned for more updates on this exhilarating race weekend as the drivers push their limits and fight for glory in every lap.
